Clarine – EQ

1. Why did you become a Guide?
   I became a guide to be able to help people more than I could on my play toon. My first run as a guide was back in the good old days when guides still handled the petitions. I miss those days sometimes now that we don't do them but we have the quests.
2. What games do you guide in? For how long?
   I guide on EQ. I did guide on EQ2 but with EQ and SWAT and then RL rearing its head I had to leave EQ2 for the time being eventually I hope to go back to guiding there.
3. What is your guide race and class?
   I am a Drakkin Necromancer
4. What is your favorite color?
   I have two, red and black.
5. What is your favorite land (zone)? Why?
   That is hard to say as there is so many but if I had to choose I would have to say Surefall Glade. I like the peacefulness it represents and as far as hunting I would have to say Bastion of Thunder.
6. What has been your best or favorite moment as a Guide?
   My best and favorite moment was the first time I was told by a player that they appreciated all that we did to help the players. There is nothing like having someone come to you and say they appreciate the work we do.
7. What is your favorite quest, event, or knowledge circle? What do you do the most of?
   I like any invasion type quest and would say I like Lycanthropy Breakout the best.
8. What has been your worst of least favorite moment as being a Guide?
   My worst moment of being a guide was the day I had to leave the program the first time because of the death of my grandchild. I could not deal with his death and guide at same time and it was hard leaving behind all the friends I had made in the program.
9. As a player have you every run into any Guides and events?
   Strangely enough not until last night 5/26/08 on EQII. I just happened to be on at the right time and in the right place.
10. What is your favorite thing about this Game?
    Meeting the people and making new friends.
11. What do you plan to do in the future as a Guide? Any goals?
    My goal is to eventually become a Senior Guide. Maybe an elder in a few years but I would be happy reaching my goal of Senior. As a guide my goal is to try and get more guides out there just to talk with the players as the players are thinking of us as myths now because they don't see us on.

Delaya – EQII

1. Why did you become a Guide?
   Easy to say! I followed in the official forums a discussion on having German guides. I had never seen one on my play-server, but they were already active there. So I decided to try my luck and sent my application out :-)
2. What games do you guide on? For how long?
   I only guide on EverQuest II.
3. What is your guide race and class?
   My Guide-Avatar is a Half-Elf being a fury. I chose this class because of its nice starter armor but then I wasn't able to wear them *giggles*
4. What is your favorite color?
   My favourite color is blue.
5. What is your favorite land (zone)?
   I love the Pillars of Flames the most. All my chars have to go there and gain faction with the ashen disciples. My favourite place is the camp at T'Narev with entering the middle a duet starts - I love this piece of music.
6. What has been your best or favorite moment as a Guide?
   There are many of them. My first wedding was an extraordinaire event, I'll always remember it. And I enjoy every moment role-playing with players and having fun with each other.
7. What is your favorite quest, event, or knowledge circle? What do you do the most of?
   Puh, I love many of the quests. But my favourite is the quest "A Berry Good Day" - playing my Avatar with some kind of brain scattering is pure fun.
8. What has been your worst of least favorite moment as being a Guide?
   Uh, I was questing with another guide and we got annoyed by a player - even many tells didn't stop this.
9. As a player have you every run into any Guides and events?
   I'm afraid, no.
10. What is your favorite thing about this Game?
    I love the community! On German servers we have a good one. It's always a pleasure to chitchat with the players.
11. What do you plan to do in the future as a Guide? Any goals?
    My main goal is to entertain as many players as possible. Becoming a Senior Guide is my second goal but not in the near future.
